What is an Access Consultant?
Access consultants are specialists who can identify any potential barriers that individuals with disabilities might face within an environment and provide detailed advice of how to remove these barriers.
They have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation regarding disability discrimination and accessibility codes. Access Consultants are vital in the planning of new developments and existing building upgrades. They also provide support, advise and expertise to ensure that existing structures are accessible to all.
Domatic Access’s expert access consultants conduct accessibility audits for buildings, public and private properties, and workplaces. Their vast experience has allowed them to easily identify areas that need access for individuals with disabilities, giving advice on universal design principles to improve accessibility.
Our disability access consultants are well versed in existing rules and standards for access and mobility such as AS 1428. They can also provide expert advice on disability access legislation like the DDA. Each access consultant of Domatic Access specialises in ensuring that buildings, infrastructure, and private and public spaces are accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. We assess designs, provide recommendations, and ensure compliance with accessibility standards like the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, among others.
Domatic Access provides expert guidance on disability access and compliance through its expert staff of access consultants. They have had relevant training and experience in Australian accessibility standards (AS 1428), the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and the National Construction Code (NCC). As a matter of fact, we have a DDA consultant if that’s what you’re looking for.
